Site Requirements

If you have a site that you feel would be attractive for use with our process and would like us to evaluate it, please do not hesitate to contact us. In general, the critical features we are looking for are shown in the diagram below:

FLOW – Ideally, we are looking for raw wastewater influent of 1 million gallons per day (MGD) or greater. This can easily be raw wastewater flowing to a nearby lift station near the coast which does not have to be located near any existing treatment plant.

MAX DISTANCE – The intercepting lift station should be as close to the shore as possible and ideally less than 2 miles from the Algae Systems treatment plant site.

PLANT SITE AREA – Algae Systems can establish a working plant on less than 3 acres of land near the shore.

BAG FIELD AREA – The bag field in the water may be anywhere from 5 to 50 acres (or more depending on the treatment volume desired).

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS – For adequate algae treatment, water temperatures should be generally warm most of the year.
