Algae Systems is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team assembled to commercialize unique technologies for addressing urgent global challenges in energy, water and climate change.

We began with a simple mission: create a way to produce carbon negative fuels efficiently and profitably.

And we have successfully done so. After spending years researching and developing the most effective sustainable technologies, we’re ready to commercialize our integrated process to convert various waste streams into the fuels we need for the future we want.

No Tradeoffs

We believe we can create a habitable future without requiring the tradeoffs many economies are unable to accept. We can create fuels that contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet. A world in which nations can meet their own energy and water needs is inevitably a more peaceful world.

Close the Loop with Carbon Negative Fuels

Imagine a system of energy production that can run indefinitely on the same active processes of nature that, millions of years ago, created the fossil fuels we use today. We can harness the processes of the past to create the fuels of the future by recognizing that they are sustained loops, not linear flows that currently face depletion. We recognize that energetic hydrocarbons can be created fresh from the carbon already present in the atmosphere, instead of pulling old carbon from the ground to become new carbon in the air.

Provide Solutions for Existing Infrastructure

We don’t believe that the existing fossil-powered fleets can be replaced quickly enough to stop climate change. If the fleets won’t change, then the fuels they burn must. At scale, using technology that we currently own, our fuels will replace fossil fuels affordably within a generation. In just three years, they will be cost competitive with oil.

Algae Systems’ next-generation biofuels technology has been designed, patented and tested to provide renewable carbon negative fossil fuels, clean water and fertilizer using only sunlight, CO2 from the air and wastewater as inputs.
